Drones hit residential areas of Odesa: 14 houses damaged

At night, Russian drones massively attacked Odesa. High-rise buildings and private homes were damaged, there are victims, and the aftermath of the attack is being addressed.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.

The strike hit residential buildings in different parts of the city. At least two high-rise buildings, a residential building in the central historical part of Odesa, and a number of private sector buildings were damaged. In addition, non-residential infrastructure was also damaged.

The attack caused fires, but rescuers quickly extinguished them. As of the morning, three people were reported injured, two of them were hospitalized in the city hospital, and another was treated on the spot.

All the necessary services - rescuers, doctors and utilities - were immediately deployed to the sites of the hits. The shelling aftermath is being eliminated, the extent of the damage is being recorded and assistance is being provided to residents.

The situation in the city districts as of 07:00:

12 residential buildings were damaged in Prymorsky district. Two victims were taken to the hospital. Public utilities are clearing the area and closing the broken windows. An operational headquarters is working on the spot - residents have already received more than two dozen consultations on how to apply for assistance and further actions.

In Kyiv district, a 22-storey residential building and a dormitory of a university were damaged, with a total of 180 windows smashed. The headquarters was deployed at night, around 01:10. More than 40 employees of public utilities and special equipment were involved in the aftermath. Work is currently underway to close the windows with film and OSB boards. One victim was treated on the spot.

A two-story residential building was partially destroyed in Khadzhibeyskiy district. Utilities have already cleaned up the surrounding area and closed the damaged windows. They are also in the process of drawing up survey reports following requests from residents.

Operational headquarters, representatives of district administrations and utility companies are working in all affected areas. Data on the damage and losses is being collected.

On the night of March 18, Odesa region was again attacked by drones. A critical infrastructure facility was damaged and a fire broke out, which rescuers quickly extinguished.
