On February 4, the Housing and Utilities Department of the Izmail City Council signed a contract for UAH 481,000 without an auction to provide temporary protection for residential buildings in the city that suffered from a drone attack on January 30.
This was reported by an Intent correspondent with reference to the public procurement website Prozorro.
The contract work, as with previous arrivals, will be carried out by the firm of Izmail City Council member Igor Dekhtyarev's Rodnik. They are to be completed by February 21 this year.
According to the accompanying documentation, the windows and roofs will be covered with film, having previously been cleared of glass and building material fragments and reinforced with wooden boards. The list includes only 19 houses: 12 on Prydunayska Street (formerly Nakhimova Street), 1 on Zelena Street, 2 on Kishinovska Street (near the port), and 4 on Flotska Street.
An enemy drone attack on Izmail took place on the night of January 30. The enemy targeted the port infrastructure. The city continues to restore residential buildings that were damaged during the drone attack on September 27, 2024. In the fall, residents of the affected houses were accommodated in the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Svitlyachok kindergarten. Those who refused to live in these locations receive UAH 10,000 in compensation from the city budget for renting temporary housing.
This is not the first time that the MP's company has been awarded restoration contracts without an auction. Earlier, the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Izmail City Council in Odesa Oblast also signed a contract with Rodnik, a private enterprise, without a tender to repair an apartment building damaged by the Shaheda attack in Izmail. At the time, the contract amounted to UAH 1 million 606 thousand.
Another agreement with Rodnik was signed in October 2023. The contract amount was UAH 2 million 405 thousand.
