Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation into violations of the rules of war over the Russian air attack on Odesa on the night of April 22.

According to the prosecutor's office, the attack lasted from 21:55 to 22:55 and resulted in the injury of three local residents and damage to a number of buildings.

In particular, civilian infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, educational institutions, and citizens' cars were damaged and destroyed. The fires were extinguished by rescuers, volunteers, a firefighting unit of the National Guard of Ukraine and a unit of the Odesa City Council.

According to the municipality, more than 90 windows were smashed in three schools in the city as a result of the enemy attack. Two of them are currently operating remotely. In the morning, the operational headquarters of the district administration was deployed at the site of the damage, where they are providing advice on how to apply for financial assistance to restore windows and doors, as well as receive compensation from the state budget under the eVodnovlennya program.

Earlier, farms in Odesa region were damaged in a nighttime air attack by Russian forces on April 19.

Fires and civilian casualties were also the result of an air attack on Odesa by the Russian army on April 14. The strikes caused fires to break out at several addresses.
