In Pivdennoukrainsk, the cost of trash removal has increased by 50 percent

A new rate has been set in Pivdenno-Ukrainsk for household waste management services provided by the municipal enterprise "Public Utilities Service."

The Executive Committee of the Pivdennoukrainsk City Council adopted the corresponding resolution.

As noted during the meeting, the current rate was 32.98 hryvnias, and following a review, it was proposed to set it at 51 hryvnias. The Economic Development Department reviewed the tariff calculations, and based on the results of the review, the proposed amount was reduced by 40.286 million hryvnias.

At the same time, the rate increase will vary for residents of different communities within the municipality. According to the calculations presented at the meeting, the increase per resident will be 1.54 hryvnias in Pivdennoukrainsk, 3.54 hryvnias in Kostyantynivka, in Ivanivka—3.21 hryvnias, and in Vysochanske—2.42 hryvnias.

In the structure of the new rate, 48.7% is allocated to wages, 39.7% to fuel and lubricants, and another 0.9% to other expenses.

During the discussion, representatives of the executive committee noted that the rate had not been revised for about three years. During this time, costs for fuel, wages, and taxes have increased.

The issue of the Antimonopoly Committee’s approval of the fare was also raised at the meeting. City officials reported that the Antimonopoly Committee had sent a request regarding waste removal and storage services, and the relevant documents had been provided to it.

Following the discussion, the decision to set the rate was put to a vote. Members of the Executive Committee supported it.

Previously, new tariffs for household waste collection have been in effect inMykolaivsince July 1 of this year. They were established for the municipal enterprises “Mykolaivkomtrans” and “Obriy-DKP.”

And starting May 1, 2026, household waste collection rates were increased for residents ofthe Korabelny Districtof Mykolaiv.
