On August 8, the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa considered the case against a woman who publicly shouted pro-Russian slogans in support of the aggressor state in the city center on May 2, 2025, and closed the proceedings.

This decision was published in the court register, although on that day the judge's assistant informed Intent that the hearing would not take place due to the absence of the offender.

In October 2024, the same woman tried to hang a Russian flag there and publicly supported Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. At that time, the woman was recognized as insane due to a mental disorder and it was decided to send her for treatment. However, this has not yet been done, because, as it turned out, the Prymorsky District Police Department has not received a court order.

The second incident occurred on the evening of May 2, 2025, the anniversary of the 2014 events. While on Evropeiska Street in the center of Odesa, the woman was shouting pro-Russian slogans. The police drew up an administrative report against the woman for disorderly conduct (Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses). The offender, knowing the time and date of the hearing, did not appear in court.

On August 8, 2025, Intenta 's journalist came to the Primorsky District Court to hear the case. The courtroom was closed, and the judge's assistant said that the hearing would not take place. The police did not bring the woman to the court, and without her, according to the judge's assistant, they could not consider the case. She also said, after checking with the judge, that the hearing would be postponed and they would try again to force the woman to attend.

However, on August 12, the judge's decision for that day, August 8, appeared in the court register. It stated that after reviewing the case file in an open session, the judge of the Prymorsky District Court closed the proceedings due to the expiration of the time limit.

Intent sent a request to the court to find out when the hearing was scheduled. But in response, the head of the court's staff said that the time of the hearing was listed on the Judiciary's website. Therefore, it was supposed to be scheduled, but the courtroom was closed.

Intent also sent a request to the Odesa Oblast Police Department to find out why law enforcement officers were unable to bring the woman to court. It turned out that they did not find her at home, so they did not bring her. They do not know the whereabouts of the offender.

The police also noted that the administrative report for drawing a Russian flag on a pedestal on European Square was not drawn up against this woman. However, three unrelated sources in law enforcement agencies claim that two people did it, one of whom was this woman.

The journalist is preparing a statement to the Ombudsman regarding the provision of false information about the cancellation of the court hearing.
