Kherson has started supplying heat to the main heating networks as the city's heating companies have been running boiler houses since November 25. This is an important step in the face of constant shelling.

This was reported by Yaroslav Shanko, head of Kherson MVA.

Heat supply to Kherson's main heating networks started gradually on November 25, and the connection of high-rise buildings will continue according to the technical readiness of the networks. However, according to the head of the Kherson City Military Administration (KMMA), not all buildings will have warm radiators.

Due to the difficult security situation and extensive damage to critical infrastructure, the Korabel district and the coastal parts of the city's Central and Dniprovsky districts will remain without centralized heating this season.

The head of KHMVA also appealed to the responsible persons of condominium associations to provide maximum assistance to heat supply companies in connecting buildings to the heating medium and monitor the condition of in-building heating systems.

Earlier, Mykolaiv city authorities planned to extend the reimbursement program for the repair of in-building networks until 2026. They decided to allocate over UAH 116 million for this purpose.

The Mykolaiv City Council has approved the extension and renewal of the Program for reimbursement of costs for the restoration of intra-building water supply, sewage and heat supply networks for co-owners of apartment buildings. The program, which was in effect for 2023-2025, now extends to 2026.

The decision of the city council provides for an increase in funding - a total of UAH 116.4 million for 2023-2026, of which half is from the city budget and the other half from additional sources. Funding is distributed by year: UAH 20 million in 2023, UAH 26 million in 2024, UAH 32 million in 2025, and UAH 38.4 million is planned for 2026.
