(DBR)

The Kherson City Court found the former deputy head of the department of the state institution "Northern Correctional Colony No. 90" guilty of collaboration.

This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation in Melitopol.

According to the investigation, the suspect began to interact with the enemy without coercion. With his participation, the occupiers created a fake penitentiary institution that operated under the laws of the Russian Federation. The defendant took a leadership position in it, received a salary in rubles, had permission to pass the invaders' checkpoints unhindered and the right to bear arms.

He publicly took an oath of allegiance to the Russian Federation and received a Russian passport. After the liberation of Kherson, the traitor did not have time to escape and was hiding in the city. He was detained.

The court found the former official guilty under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration) and sentenced him to 14 years in prison with disqualification to hold positions in law enforcement agencies for 14 years and confiscation of all property.

The court also deprived him of his special rank of lieutenant colonel of the internal service. The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office provided procedural guidance.

Earlier we wrote about how the Department of Territorial Development of the Kherson Regional State Administration plans to overhaul the administrative building of the Velyko Oleksandrivka Village Council for almost 88 million.

Earlier it was reported that the Kherson region plans to overhaul the municipal institution Vysokopilskyi Nursery-Garden Barvinok with the construction of a shelter for UAH 55 million.
