Government decides to support medical institutions in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated more than UAH 44 million to support medical institutions in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

This was announced by the Government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

He noted that these funds were redistributed from the general fund of the state budget to finance the program of the Ministry of Health.

According to him, in 2024, an additional amount of subventions from the state budget to local budgets to support certain institutions and activities in the health care system in the amount of UAH 44 million 441 thousand 91 was distributed between the regional budgets of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

Recently, vaccines were delivered to Mykolaiv Oblast to ensure continuous work on COVID-19 prevention. The Center's specialists delivered 2396 doses of Comirnaty vaccines, produced in Belgium, to every medical institution that provides immunization. In addition, 200 doses of vaccines were transferred for vaccination of children.

In addition, Mykolaiv became part of the international initiative"Cities of Healthy Living". A memorandum was signed with the Danish medical company Novo Nordisk. This made Mykolaiv the 50th city in the world and the second in Ukraine after Kyiv to join the program aimed at preventing chronic diseases.

In the Kherson region, medical facilities have repeatedly come under attack by Russian occupation forces. Therefore, the region is doing everything to save lives. Currently, basements are being equipped not only with shelters where employees and patients can go down during alarms, but also with safe intensive care units and rooms for long-term patients.

The philanthropists also donated three new Renault Duster cars to Kherson Oblast's primary healthcare institutions. The new cars will be used by family doctors, nurses and specialized doctors to provide fast and efficient care where it is needed most.
