Flour and oil caught fire in Pivdennyi port due to Russian attack

As a result of the Russian army's strike on Odesa region, a fire broke out in the Pivdennyi port, setting about 30 containers of flour and vegetable oil on fire.

This was reported by Oleksiy Kuleba, Minister of Community and Territorial Development.

According to him, port employees and all relevant services are working at the scene, and the aftermath is being eliminated. He also said that more than 120,000 subscribers in Odesa region are without electricity due to damage to the energy infrastructure. Critical infrastructure facilities are connected to alternative power sources. The region is provided with heat and water supply.

On the morning of December 22, the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that two enemy attacks during the night of December 22 had damaged a critical infrastructure facility in Odesa, leaving part of one of the city's districts without power. On the night of December 22, Russians attacked Ukraine with 86 Shahed, Gerber, and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles. According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 58 enemy Shahed, Gerber and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country. But there were also hits. 26 attack UAVs were hit at 12 locations, and there was a fall of downed UAVs (wreckage) at one location.

On December 21, traffic restrictions were lifted in both directions on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway (to Bucharest) within the village of Mayaki, which had been imposed after the Russian attack on the bridge across the Dniester. On December 18, during an attack in Odesa region, an enemy attack drone hit a bridge connecting settlements in the area of the Dniester estuary and also hit a bridge over the Dniester River near the village of Mayaki. There, it hit a civilian car that was crossing the bridge. The car was occupied by a woman with three children. The mother was seriously injured and died in an ambulance. Her three children were taken to the hospital with injuries and acute stress reaction.
