Five settlements in Odesa region cut off from electricity as a result of Russian attack

As a result of a Russian attack by unmanned aerial vehicles in the south of Odesa region, about 4,000 subscribers in five settlements were cut off from electricity due to damaged power lines.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper.

Five settlements of the Reniyska community - Nahirne, Kotlovina, Plavni, Orlivka and Novosilske - remain without electricity. In the Black Sea, enemy UAVs were spotted hitting three merchant ships flying the flags of Vanuatu, Comoros and Panama, which were moving through the Ukrainian sea corridor.

According to the Air Force Command, on the night of May 29, the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missile, as well as 232 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmash, and Parodya-type attack drones. According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 217 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country.

A ballistic missile and 14 strike UAVs were recorded at 14 locations, and downed UAVs (UAV wreckage) were recorded at seven locations.

On the night of May 29, Odesa region became a target for Russian attacks with unmanned aerial vehicles. One of the drones flew into the Romanian city of Galati and crashed into a residential high-rise building, hitting an apartment on the tenth floor. This resulted in an explosion that started a fire. Two people were injured.

The south of Odesa region has been under attack by Russian drones for the second night in a row. In the middle of the night on May 28, drones hit a residential building and an infrastructure facility. Despite the destruction and damage to the surrounding buildings, there were no casualties or injuries. The strike resulted in a UAV hitting a private residential building and an infrastructure facility.
