First Deputy of Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky wounded in shelling in Kherson

In Kherson, the first deputy of the regional council, Yuriy Sobolevsky, was wounded in an enemy shelling.

He personally told Ukrinform about it.

According to him, he received a contusion. He was indoors during the shelling and did not receive shrapnel wounds, but suffered from the blast wave.

This is the second time this summer that the official has been shot, so he decided not to ignore the doctors' recommendation to hospitalize and is now undergoing treatment.

"I was hit again at night during an artillery shelling of a residential area in the city center, and doctors insisted on hospitalization," said the first deputy chairman of the regional council.

The official was diagnosed with contusion, explosive and closed head injuries.

In Kherson region, two people were killed and seven wounded in Russian attacks over the past 24 hours.

Personnel changes in the Kherson regional administration. Volodymyr Klyutsevsky was appointed as the authorized person (coordinator) for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, preventing and combating gender-based violence.

A new commission has been established in Kherson community to receive applications from Kherson residents for compensation for damaged or destroyed housing. Surveys are conducted, but only in cases where housing is completely destroyed due to shelling.

The newly created commission is responsible for calculating compensation based on applications submitted to the Register of Damaged and Destroyed Property. The agenda for the first meeting is currently being prepared.

Forty-one settlements in the Kherson region were affected by enemy shelling. A 35-year-old man was wounded in the attack. He has a contusion as a result of the explosion, he went to the hospital on his own.
