On July 14, the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on Odesa region, between the villages of Hrybivka and Karolino-Bugaz. Dry vegetation caught fire. The fire caused several million hryvnias worth of environmental damage.
This was reported on July 23 by the press service of the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Southwestern District.
Two hectares of the area caught fire. Almost 1,500 tons of carbon dioxide were released into the atmosphere. The damage amounted to four million 429 thousand 534 hryvnias.
This data was entered into the Unified Register of Damage Caused by Armed Aggression.
Neither the JFO nor the local authorities have released any information about the consequences of the shelling.
The strike occurred on the afternoon of July 14, around 14:05, when an explosion occurred during an air raid in Odesa region. Before it happened, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of a high-speed target in the direction of Karolino-Buhaz and Ovidiopol.
We also wrote that Mykolaiv signed an agreement with a charity foundation to help compensate for the damage caused by the aggressor country to the community. The project's peculiarity is the free assistance of lawyers who will subsequently recover their expenses from Russia.
And in Odesa, as a result of a rocket hit to a residential complex, specialists from the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District investigated the consequences of the shelling on June 20, when the Orange residential area was damaged.
Currently, researchers in cities across Ukraine are concerned with collecting data on the digital indicators of damage. For example, in Mykolaiv region last year, similar monitoring showed that the Russian aggression had destroyed more than $150 billion worth of property over the two years of war.
