Enemy drone attacks bus near Kherson: casualties and injuries among passengers

Occupants attacked a shuttle bus near Kherson, killing two people and injuring at least six, two of them in serious condition. The victims were hospitalized and are being provided with the necessary medical care.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

At about 08:00, the Russian military attacked a shuttle bus near Kherson using a drone.

At least six people were injured in the attack - two women aged 66 and 75 and four men aged 23, 61, 69 and 83. The victims were diagnosed with explosive injuries, contusions and shrapnel wounds, two of them in serious condition.

Doctors are providing the necessary assistance to all the hospitalized victims. Two men have been preliminarily reported dead as a result of the attack. Ten other residents of the region were injured, including two with serious injuries. According to the press service, information about the incident is currently being clarified.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into a war crime that caused the death of people (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

From August 8 to 9, 2025, Russian troops launched massive attacks on the Kherson region using drones and artillery, which resulted in the destruction of 36 settlements in the region. The attacks damaged two high-rise buildings, six private houses, a trolley, a private garage, and several cars.

One person was killed and three others were injured, including a child. In particular, in the afternoon in Kherson, an enemy drone hit a 13-year-old boy walking down the street with an explosive device. He suffered blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his leg and arm. The victim was quickly hospitalized and is currently receiving all necessary medical care.

Earlier, during the evacuation of residents of the Korabel neighborhood, the occupiers fired at the evacuation teams, damaging three patrol police cars. According to law enforcement officials, there were no casualties among civilians or law enforcement officers, but the police were removing shell fragments and documenting the consequences of the enemy attacks.
