The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has seized a maritime transshipment and warehouse complex for grain cargo in Odesa region.

According to the Bureau of Economic Security, the property has now been transferred to the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).

It is a large-scale agricultural terminal with buildings, a berth, gas pipelines, unloaders, conveyors, a crane and other facilities. The property has now been transferred to the management of the National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).

According to the investigation, the complex belongs to a company associated with a well-known Ukrainian businessman against whom the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine previously imposed personal sanctions. According to the investigation, this company was involved in a scheme to illegally withdraw property from the pledge of the National Bank of Ukraine.

It has been established that back in 2016, officials of several companies conducted a series of illegal transactions with an agricultural terminal that was pledged under a mortgage agreement. The scheme also involves former shareholders of a bank and people close to them.

In 2024, the same companies continued their illegal actions aimed at finally removing the agricultural terminal from the pledge. In particular, the owner company artificially failed to fulfill its obligations, which could lead to the loss of rights to the agricultural complex.

The BES believes that the court seized the property to prevent its loss, ensure the safety of assets and make an objective assessment.

It should be added that the BES did not name the defendants in the case, but earlier ARMA Head Olena Duma reported that the former owners of the bank, including Ihor Kolomoisky and Hennadiy Boholyubov, were among the persons involved.
