Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, identified misinformation in reports by propaganda outlets regarding the alleged recent arrest of a female spy by the FSB. He concluded that the arrest had taken place earlier and that the detainee had been held in complete isolation from the outside world the entire time.

Refat Chubarovwroteabout this on social media.

“Take a look at the footage—the trees are still completely bare, yet the detainee is wearing very warm clothing. This is definitely not July, especially in Crimea. It’s obvious that the woman in the footage was most likely actually detained, but at a completely different time of year. It’s quite likely that she was held in complete isolation from the outside world all this time,” he wrote.

Refat Chubarov noted that the practice of incommunicado detention (complete isolation) has become very widespread in occupied Crimea.

Incommunicado detentionis a situation in which a person is secretly abducted or detained, but the authorities do not officially acknowledge this, do not bring any charges against them, and do not tell their relatives where they are being held. The person literally “disappears.” This status constitutes a gross violation of human rights and international humanitarian law.

Earlier, it was reported that in Crimea, compensation for power and water outages is tied to military registration. The occupying authorities issue residents a one-time compensation payment of 15,000 rubles only on the condition that they register for military service. This applies to men as well as women with medical professions. The Russian administration does not officially announce such requirements. According to the stated conditions, to receive compensation, one need only confirm the fact of residence at the relevant address.
