The beaches of occupied Crimea have been polluted by palm oil of unknown origin

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Clumps of palm oil have been found in the water off the Crimean coast and on the peninsula’s beaches. The source of the pollution has not yet been identified. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span> Vacationers were the first to notice the clumps of palm oil. The occupying Black Sea-Azov Sea Maritime Directorate of “Rosprirodnadzor” confirmed the presence of palm oil in the waters off Crimea and Sevastopol. They stated that they had documented the pollution, but that the occupying authorities must take appropriate measures.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier,<span><span><span><span><span><span>a forest fire near Yalta had spread to fifty hectares. The fire </span></span></span></span></span></span>broke out in a remote mountainous area. It started on August 19. By the morning of August 20, the fire had spread to 10 hectares. On August 21, it was reported that the forest fire had grown to 50 hectares in a single day due to strong winds.

Earlier, two earthquakes were recorded near the occupied Crimea within a 24-hour period. Both epicenters were located in the Black Sea near the southern coast of the peninsula. 

The first earthquake occurred on August 25 at 8:45 p.m. Its magnitude was 3.4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located near Sevastopol, at a depth of 15 kilometers. The earthquake was classified as barely perceptible.

The second earthquake was recorded on August 26 at 2:19 p.m. Its magnitude was also 3.4. This time, the epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers off the southern coast of the Crimean Peninsula, near Sevastopol. It was also classified as barely perceptible.
