MP from Mykolaiv Iryna Kormyshkina has been allowed to continue performing her duties. Currently, the investigation into the MP's illicit enrichment is still ongoing.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

On December 18, 2024, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC), at the request of the NABU and the SAPO, extended the term of office for MP Iryna Kormyshkina, suspected of illegal enrichment, for another two months.

According to the court's decision, the duties include notification of changes of place of residence or work, surrender of foreign passports, and refraining from communicating with certain persons.

Earlier, on October 23, 2024, the MP was imposed a measure of rest raint in the form of a personal guarantee with the participation of David Arakhamia and Vitaliy Kim.

According to the investigation, in 2021-2022, the MP acquired assets worth more than UAH 20 million, which exceed her declared income. This includes a house near Odesa purchased through a legal entity.

The investigation is ongoing, and according to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court verdict.

The MP was served with a notice of suspicion of illicit enrichment in excess of UAH 20 million in October. The investigation found that in the period of 2021-2022, the MP received assets that significantly exceeded her official income and savings. Her official income was about UAH 2.7 million, which she used for other purposes.

According to the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), the MP's actions are qualified under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She currently faces up to 10 years in prison.

The investigation into the possible illicit enrichment of Iryna Kormyshkina was launched in November 2022. She owns half of a 63-square-meter apartment in Mykolaiv, a 321.8-square-meter house, a land plot in the village of Lymana, and another 965-square-meter plot in Mykolaiv. During her time in the Verkhovna Rada, the MP received a salary of UAH 481,000 and insurance payments of UAH 91,000.

Her husband, former deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Yuriy Kormyshkin, claimed that his wife only declared the inheritance she received from her late father, who was "a very influential person in Mykolaiv region." He claimed that the house was bought by his company, as well as many other things.

Earlier, Kormyshkina was among the top five richest MPs, earning UAH 123.5 million in 2023. She purchased a land plot of 920 thousand square meters in the village of Kalynivka, Mykolaiv region. The purchase price was over UAH 5 million.
