<span><span><span><span><span><span>Specifically, in Sevastopol, rates for heating, water, sewage, and waste collection may rise by 13.8%, electricity rates by 11.3%, and natural gas rates by 13.8%. In Crimea, rate increases for heating, water, and waste collection could reach 14%, for electricity—11.3%, and for natural gas—10.1%.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Earlier reports indicated that food prices in Crimea are rising daily. As a result, local residents are forced to cross the Kerch Bridge to the Kuban region in search of cheaper food.

Following the July energy crisis, stores in Crimea were forced to operate on generators. Fuel shortages also persist in the region. This has led to a sharp rise in food prices.

Russian authorities have acknowledged the problem. The occupation administration stated that it is monitoring the situation and documenting cases of unjustified, speculative price hikes. In addition, a maximum markup of 5% has been set for a number of essential goods.

Earlier, it was reported that a number of stores in occupiedCrimea are experiencing a shortage of vodka and otherhard liquor. Retailers attribute this to disruptions in shipments from Russia due to transportation difficulties, and some retail chains are already preparing to close. According to retailers, trucks can no longer use the Kerch Bridge, and the alternative route is considered dangerous, leading some carriers to refuse to make the trips.
