Yesterday, on March 22, an ambulance hit an anti-personnel mine in the Borozenska community of Beryslav district, Kherson region.
According to Volodymyr Litvinov, head of the Beryslav district administration, it happened when the ambulance was on its way to Velyka Oleksandrivka.
"While driving to Velyka Oleksandrivka, near the village of Krasnosilske, the ambulance hit a Pelyustok anti-personnel mine, " the official said.
According to him, a wheel in the ambulance was damaged as a result of the mine. The medics were not injured.
It should be noted that yesterday Russian troops attacked a tractor working in a field near Kostyrka in Beryslav district with a drone. A 55-year-old man was injured in the explosion. He sustained blast and brain injuries, as well as a shrapnel wound to his thigh.
Last week, a man from frontline Zmiivka in Beryslav district stepped on a Russian"petal" mine and injured his foot as a result of the detonation.
These explosive devices are very insidious, police say. They are small and easy to hide in the grass, under leaves or in the soil. The slightest touch can cause an explosion.
Earlier in Zmiyivka , a 62-year-old local resident tripped a"petal" anti-personnel mine near his home. He sustained blast injuries and leg wounds and is currently in hospital.
