Actress Angelina Jolie visits Kherson

The famous American actress Angelina Jolie has come to Ukraine again. She visited the city of Kherson.

According to unofficial reports, the actress could have visited the country as part of a humanitarian mission and visited medical institutions, including a maternity hospital. Photos of her communicating and playing with children in a shelter have been posted online.

If this information is confirmed, this will be Jolie's second trip to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. The first time the actress came was in the spring of 2022, when she visited Lviv.

At that time, Jolie was seen at Lviv Croissants, after which she appeared at the Main Railway Station to meet passengers of the evacuation train from Pokrovsk. The actress also spoke to children who suffered as a result of a missile attack by Russian troops at the Kramatorsk train station, met with volunteers and visited a local boarding school.

As the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported on Telegram, one of the girls even managed to privately share her dream with Jolie during the visit. Then the actress was invited to Ukraine by the head of the Presidential Office , Andriy Yermak.

In October, the Ukrainian Culture Festival in New York screened the film The Editorial Office, filmed in the Kherson region. After the screening, the film crew spoke about the details of the film's creation.

"The Editorial Office" is a comedy that the American publication Variety characterized as a "satire of post-truth." The filming took place shortly before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in particular in the Kherson region and the now-occupied Oleshky Sands. The film had its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in the Forum program.
