A judge of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv sent a young man who mined the RTCC building and tried to blow it up to a pre-trial detention center.

According to the court, the 18-year-old resident of Kyiv region agreed to an offer from an unidentified person to commit terrorist acts in the southern regions of Ukraine in exchange for money.

"From Kyiv region, the boy arrived in Kherson and Mykolaiv, where he took improvised explosive devices to the agreed places," the statement said.

"On the same day, while in Mykolaiv, he walked around the central part of the city and took photos of the buildings located there and communicated by phone with the above-mentioned person, receiving instructions on how to carry out the explosion.

"Later, he installed a remote surveillance device, which was in one of the bags, opposite the entrance to the RTC building, located in a densely populated area of Mykolaiv. After that, he placed the bags with explosive devices on the porch of the building," the prosecutor's office said.

Subsequently, both of them received calls that were supposed to initiate the detonation process. However, for technical reasons, the explosion did not take place.

The same day, the man was detained. At the court hearing, the suspect admitted that he had committed the above actions, said that he had been looking for a job on the Internet and later realized what he had to do. The defense counsel objected to the motion and requested a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest.

After hearing the opinions of the parties and examining the materials of the petition, investigating judge Volodymyr Lyashchenko ruled to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspect, without setting bail.

Earlier, a woman who was preparing a terrorist attack ordered by Russia was detained in Mykolaiv. A 34-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovs'k region was served a notice of suspicion of attempted terrorist attack in Mykolaiv, where she tried to prepare explosive devices on the instructions of Russian special services. The woman was detained and is currently in custody.

The enemy's special services also recruited a 19-year-old student to commit a terrorist attack in Mykolaiv, where she was supposed to plant explosives near the police administrative building. According to the investigation, the woman was offered a monetary reward via messenger, and according to the instructions, she was to pick up the explosive device and leave it near the police administrative building.
