In Odessa, a soldier forced a TCC employee to swallow a wedding ring

In Odesa, a 40-year-old employee of the district territorial recruitment and social support center filed a police report alleging that he had been assaulted by a 26-year-old soldier. According to the complainant, the man beat him, took his cell phone and power bank, and forced him to swallow a gold wedding ring.

This incident was reported on social media. It was noted that the soldier was detained and notified of the charges against him, and that during his arrest, a phone was found on him that he allegedly took from the TCC employee.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region confirmed to Intent the filing of the complaint and reported that the soldier had been charged under Part1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

This article provides for liability for intentional bodily injury of moderate severity.

At the same time, the police did not specify the circumstances surrounding the theft of the phone, power bank, and gold wedding ring. 

Recently, a serviceman from the TCC fully admitted his guilt in the unlawful detention and torture of a civilian man during mobilization measures in Odesa. Based on a plea agreement, the court sentenced the offender to seven years in prison and barred him from holding positions in military recruitment agencies.
