A group of children aged 1 to 17 years have been evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The evacuees include orphans, children deprived of parental care, and those who have one or both parents. In particular, they include a 5-year-old boy who witnessed his mother's death during a Russian drone attack; three children who had hardly left their homes for a long time because of the threat of seizure; and a 4-year-old girl and her mother who lived on a mined street. All children are currently safe and receiving the necessary assistance. The evacuation was carried out thanks to Save Ukraine and the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA.

As of the evening of August 7, one thousand two hundred and twenty-six people, including ten-six children and one hundred and twenty-nine people with limited mobility, were evacuated from the Korabel neighborhood in Kherson. The head of the MVA noted that there are cases when evacuated residents return to the neighborhood.

In the TOT of Kherson region, the enemy is preparing to transfer private homes of people who have left to communal ownership. The Russian occupation authorities on the occupied left bank of the Kherson region have announced their intention to transfer residential buildings, land plots and premises to municipal ownership.

At least 102 Ukrainian citizens are currently imprisoned in occupied Crimea on charges of "sabotage and espionage". Citizens of Ukraine illegally detained by the enemy were abducted in Zaporizhzhia or Kherson regions after the full-scale invasion and taken to pre-trial detention centers.
