On June 24, the Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council will consider more than fifty issues related to housing and public utilities, social protection, education, culture, and urban improvement.

The agenda was publishedon the Mykolaiv City Council website the day before the meeting.

Among the first items on the agenda, Executive Committee members are set to approve the monthly tuition fees and additional benefits for students attending art schools in Mykolaiv for the 2026–2027 academic year. There are also plans to establish a commission to oversee the transfer of school buses into the municipal ownership of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community.

A separate item on the agenda will address the allocation of materials from the city’s material reserve for civil defense needs and emergency response efforts.

One of the most controversial items on the agenda may be the setting of rates for household waste management services. Details of the new rates are not disclosed in the agenda, but the corresponding draft resolution has been submitted to the Executive Committee for consideration.

Exec Committee members will also review amendments to the Program for Reforming and Developing the City’s Housing and Utilities Sector, liability insurance for members of the supervisory board of the municipal enterprise“Mykolaivvodokanal,” and changes regarding the provision of housing and utility services within the community.

In the social sector, plans include establishing an interagency council on early intervention, providing financial assistance to residents, and making changes to the composition of the commission responsible for determining the need for care services for those who require them.

A significant portion of the agenda is devoted to urban improvement issues. The Executive Committee is set to consider nine draft resolutions regarding the demolition of temporary structures in the Zavodskyi, Tsentralnyi, and Ingulskyi districts of Mykolaiv. The proposed demolitions are to take place on Industrialna, Hlib Babich, Shevchenko, Sviatoslav Aleksapolskyi, and Mariupolska Streets, as well as on Myru Avenue.

In addition, members of the Executive Committee will address housing issues, including registering citizens for housing, allocating government housing, and issuing occupancy permits for dormitory residents. The agenda also includes a series of issues related to child custody and guardianship.

The meeting will conclude with discussions on approving a plan of measures to fill the budget of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community and ensure the effective use of budget funds, as well as a review of public proposals regarding the work of city authorities.
