A presentation of the documentary film Bucha: City of the Unbreakable". The team collected eyewitness accounts of the tragedy.
This was reported in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi.
The creators of the film, Oleksandr Bortsov and Bohdan Makarenko, tell about one of the most terrible pages of the full-scale Russian invasion - the occupation of Bucha.
The Buchacity team collected eyewitness accounts of this tragedy. The heroes are real people - local residents who were in Bucha, helping and coordinating.
The film was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic as part of the Transition Promotion Program. The authors set themselves the task of understanding people, hearing and conveying the emotions they felt to the viewer.
The project is long-term and its participants plan to continue filming. You can watch it on The Buchacity YouTube channel.
Recently, a new documentary war chronicle about the hero city was presented in Mykolaiv. This time, the journalists told about the indomitable employees of the Mykolaivoblteploenergo utility company.
In late March, the third part of the documentary about the defense of Mykolaiv was released.
The film tells the story of the first evacuations of residents from the city, the work of utility workers and rescuers at the sites of shelling, and how the Russian occupiers were unable to surround Mykolaiv or come close to it.
The film was first presented in early March. The film focuses on the people of Mykolaiv - ordinary citizens who made Molotov cocktails, brought tires to the streets, and did their best to help the military and the authorities save their hometown.
Recently, two French directors, Benjamin Montel and Antonin Boutinard Ruel, filmed Mykolaiv athletes as they prepared for the main competition to be held this summer in Paris.
The film La flamme ukrainienne (The Ukrainian Flame) tells the story of the world of young athletes who give their all to take part in this summer's Olympic Games.
In April, Kyiv also hosted the premiere of a documentary film that tells the stories of animals rescued during the war. It also features the Mykolaiv Zoo, which was damaged by the fighting.
