Mykolaiv has announced a tender for more than UAH 54 million to maintain the Pivdenobugskyi Bridge. The works are to be completed by the end of 2026, and the winner will be determined at the end of May.

This is according to the Prozorro procurement system.

The Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development in Mykolaiv Oblast has announced a tender for the operational maintenance of the Pivdennyi Buh Bridge over the Pivdennyi Buh River. The bridge is a part of the M-14 Odesa-Melitopol-Novoazovsk national highway. The expected cost of the works is over UAH 54 million.

The second stage of works will include maintenance of bridge structures in spans 4-8. The task involves construction and installation services that are included in the classification "construction and maintenance of roads, communication lines, power lines, and leveling of surfaces."

Bids can be submitted until May 29, and the electronic auction is scheduled for May 30. The winner will have to ensure the fulfillment of the contract by providing a bank guarantee in the amount of 1% of the cost of the work. The works are to be completed by December 20, 2026.

The customer is the Service for Infrastructure Restoration and Development in Mykolaiv Oblast. Under the terms of the tender, an advance payment of up to 30% of the annual cost of the works is possible.

This is not the first tender for the maintenance of this bridge. At the end of April, the Restoration Service announced an auction for the operational maintenance of the Pivdenne Bug Bridge on the M-14 Odesa-Melitopol-Novoazovsk highway, stating that it was the first stage of construction.

Only one company, the European Road Construction Company, applied for the tender. Its offer was 257 thousand hryvnias lower than the expected cost, so it was this company that was awarded the contract to repair the bridge in Mykolaiv. This company has been repeatedly mentioned in journalistic investigations - it has been linked to numerous non-competitive contracts worth hundreds of millions of hryvnias.
