The relevant order was signed by the head of Kherson City Military and Civil Administration Yaroslav Shanko.

The Kherson City Military Administration has approved amendments to the Local Target Program for the Protection of the Population and Territories from Emergency Situations for 2026-2028.

The total amount of funding for the program is almost UAH 500 million, of which UAH 186.9 million is provided for 2026, UAH 162.3 million for 2027 and UAH 150.6 million for 2028. The main goal of the changes is to improve the Kherson community's preparation and provision for emergencies and strengthen its material and technical base.

Key activities include replenishing the local material reserve for disaster prevention and response, as well as purchasing electronic intelligence equipment for utilities that provide essential services to the population.

The program is aimed at improving the community's emergency preparedness, protecting the population and critical infrastructure, and strengthening the material and technical base of the Kherson City Territorial Community for the next three years.

Kherson also approved a work plan for the Department of Municipal Economy for 2026. More than UAH 6 million will be allocated to the city's utilities for memorial complexes and the development of electric transport.

In particular, the plan provides for the implementation of the program for the development of urban passenger transport of the Kherson territorial community for 2026-2028. The document also takes into account the program "Funerals and Cemetery Maintenance of the Kherson Community", which provides for the upgrade of the material and technical base and improvement of cemetery maintenance.
