In the Mykolaiv region, they decided to renovate the canteen at a lyceum. It was planned to spend more than five million hryvnias from the budget.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro public procurement system.

A major overhaul of the canteen at Vradiyivka Lyceum No. 2 is planned in Mykolaiv region. The customer of the work was the Education Department of the Vradiyivka Village Council.

The expected cost of the procurement is UAH 5 million 354 thousand 893. The minimum price reduction step is UAH 26 thousand 774.

The auction is scheduled to start on September 20. Bid security is not required. The customer will pay for the work performed in stages, as the earmarked funds are received from the budget.

The source of funding for the works is the local budget and a subvention from the state budget. According to the contract, the scope of works may be reduced depending on the actual funding. The warranty period for finishing works should be 3 years.

The contractor is required to prevent and reduce the amount of construction waste; upon completion of the overhaul, all construction waste must be taken to a landfill; during the operation of construction machinery and equipment, take measures to reduce toxicity of emissions; and use water and electricity sparingly.

The repair work is to be completed by December 31, 2025.

In Mykolaiv, the Department of Education recently signed an agreement to organize catering in the city's schools and kindergartens for more than UAH 60 million. The contract was traditionally awarded to a municipal production enterprise for catering in educational institutions. The contract provides for the provision of meals to children in 61 educational institutions of the city, including kindergartens.

In August, the Government allocated funds for the restoration and modernization of canteens to ensure healthy nutrition for children. Thus, Mykolaiv region received UAH 132.7 million.

So far, four educational institutions in Mykolaiv have received a subvention of UAH 80 million. Thus, Lyceum No. 40 received over UAH 20 million, Lyceum No. 3 - over UAH 18 million, Gymnasium No. 52 - over UAH 19 million, and Gymnasium No. 46 - almost UAH 20 million. This initiative is an important step towards improving the learning environment and health of schoolchildren.
