The Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office has sent to court an indictment against the director of an enterprise for intentional tax evasion on a particularly large scale.

According to the prosecutor's office, investigators found that the head of a company engaged in wholesale trade in agricultural products intentionally evaded paying income tax.

The company's director deliberately failed to account for the agricultural products received in the financial statements. Namely, soybeans in the amount of more than 10.5 tons, which he later exported to the UAE, Romania and the Republic of Turkey. The total value of soybeans amounted to UAH 105 million. The amount of products actually sold and the company's income were many times higher than those officially declared in the tax reports. Accordingly, the amount of taxes and other mandatory payments should have been higher. As a result of such illegal actions, the state budget did not receive almost UAH 19 million in taxes.

In December 2025, detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa region exposed an agricultural trader who tried to illegally export 7,500 tons of soybeans. The detectives found that the suspects tried to export products whose origin was not documented through supply chains with fictitious companies and individual entrepreneurs.

In the fall of the same year, detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Odesa region completed a pre-trial investigation into tax evasion by a company engaged in the export of agricultural products. The matter is about UAH 14.8 million that, according to the investigation, should have been paid as taxes. However, the criminal proceedings on tax evasion were sent to court with an indictment.
