Mykolaiv plans to overhaul the operating unit of the military hospital's surgical department. The expected cost of the work is almost UAH 11 million, and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.

This is evidenced by data from the Prozorro public procurement system.

Mykolaiv has announced a tender for the overhaul of the operating unit of the surgical department of a military hospital. The customer was the city's Housing and Maintenance Department. UAH 10.99 million was allocated for the overhaul.

The procurement is being carried out through an open tender with special features. Proposals will be accepted until August 31, and the auction is scheduled for September 1. Under the terms of the contract, the selected contractor must complete the work by December 25, 2026.

The contractor will be selected based on the most favorable price offer, with a minimum step down of UAH 54.9 thousand or 0.5% of the amount. Tenderers are not required to provide security for their bids or execute the contract. Under the terms of the contract, payment for the works will be made after their completion on the basis of acceptance certificates.

According to the tender documentation, the repairs are part of the modernization of the military hospital's medical infrastructure, which includes upgrading equipment and improving the conditions for providing care to military personnel.

If during the warranty period deficiencies or defects caused by the contractor's poor work are found, such as violations of building codes, use of uncertified materials, or deviations from the project, and the contractor fails to eliminate them within the time frame set by the client, he must pay a fine equal to the full cost of the work.

In May, a tender was announced in Mykolaiv for the overhaul of the third floor of the rehabilitation department of the hospital for war veterans. The cost of the work was almost 47 million hryvnias, and it is planned to be completed by the end of 2026 with funds from the European Union.

The contractor was a company that was involved in criminal proceedings and had previously won tenders for more than a billion hryvnias. According to a court decision, this company was involved in a case of misappropriation of budget funds during the reconstruction of a pumping station and a pressure collector in a kindergarten and a school.
