A regional council is a local government body that represents the interests of territorial communities within a region. It consists of deputies elected by voters and makes decisions on matters within its competence as defined by Ukrainian legislation. Regional councils operate in each region of Ukraine, including Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions, and are responsible for local administration, budgeting, and oversight of government bodies' activities.
