Chonhar Bridge

The Chongar Bridge is a complex of engineering structures across the Sivash Bay, which includes a railway bridge, a dam, and a motor bridge on the international highway M18E105. The bridges connect mainland Ukraine with the Crimean Peninsula and have strategic importance for transportation. During Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Chongar Bridge became an object of military operations, suffered damage and collapses of individual spans. The structure remains an important control point and subject of military-strategic confrontation.
