The Russian military struck Odesa and damaged a high-rise building; there are casualties

On the night of September 16, Odesa and the surrounding region came under a massive combined attack by Russian forces. Seven people were injured in the strikes, including children aged 4 and 13.
This was reported by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.
One of the Russian drones struck a high-rise residential building in Odesa. The strike destroyed 10 apartments on the 14th and 16th floors and damaged 11 cars.
As of the time of this report, three people were known to have been injured, including a 4-year-old child. An emergency response center has been set up near the building to provide residents with necessary assistance.
Other strikes damaged at least five private homes, a kindergarten, a dormitory, a restaurant’s outdoor seating area, storage and garage facilities, as well as passenger cars.
Four more people were injured, including an elderly woman and a 13-year-old child.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the impact sites. Rescue workers, medical personnel, utility services, and law enforcement officers are involved in addressing the aftermath.
On September 16, after noon, Russian occupiers struck Odesa witha “Shahed” rocket. The attack killed a man, damaged private homes and cars, and set garages on fire.
Enemy shelling on the night of September 13 also damaged a high-rise building, private homes, a car, two educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities.
And on the night of September 12, the Russians launched a massive strike on the city: a “Kalibr” missile struck a 25-story building in Arkadia. Two people were killed in the attack; their bodies were recovered by rescue workers during search-and-rescue operations. Among the apartments that were completely destroyed was the home of Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska’s family.
