The occupiers have devised new methods for militarizing children in the Kherson region

The occupying authorities plan to make changes to the school curriculum and the organization of the educational process in the temporarily occupied territories. Starting September 1, schools in the temporarily occupied territories will introduce a new subject called “Spiritual and Moral Culture of the Russian Federation.”
This was reported by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
The new subject is intended to impose Russian “skrep”(values), religious and ideological concepts, and a distorted interpretation of history and traditions.
In addition, the course “Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland” will be divided into two separate tracks—“life safety” and basic military training.
For students in grades 2–8, there are also plans to introduce a three-tiered behavioral assessment system: “exemplary,” “acceptable,” and “unacceptable.”
The occupiers are actively militarizing Ukrainian children. Earlier, prosecutors in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea filed a case in court against the leaders of the “Union of Crimean Border Guards,” the “Varyag” club, and the eponymous maritime training center. They are accused of preparing Crimean children for service in the Russian Federation’s armed forces.
Earlier, in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, the creationof the so-called“School for Foster Parents”was announced, which is intended to prepare Russian citizens to obtain custody of children. According to the occupying authorities’ plan, course participants will undergo special training, after which they will be able to obtain custody of or adopt children residing in the temporarily occupied territories. The goal is to create foster families for children who have been left without parental care.
