The occupation police have been granted full access to CCTV cameras in Simferopol

The occupation police in Simferopol have gained full access to the city’s video surveillance system. This has significantly hampered the activities of the pro-Ukrainian underground.

With the streets under total control, representatives of partisan movements have scaled back their leafleting campaigns. Such activities are becoming increasingly dangerous. At the same time, however, activists are ramping up covert pro-Ukrainian activities. 

The so-called “deputy head” of the city’s occupation administration, Oleksandr Semenchenko, announced the expansion of the Russian security forces’ powers. According to him, officers of the Russian-controlled police monitor footage from the city’s unified network of surveillance cameras on a daily basis.

As Intent previously reported, in occupied Crimea, the Russians have “nationalized” another 10 enterprises and facilities belonging to Ukrainian citizens. Among the appropriated properties were a health resort on the Southern Coast of Crimea, a factory in Yalta, and a food distribution center.

The Russians received approximately 1.3 billion rubles at auction for the seized enterprises. Specifically,the “Priberezhny” sanatorium was sold for 780 million rubles, and the “Headwear Factory” for 217 million rubles.

According to the occupying authorities, by June 2026, approximately 6,000 properties had been seized in Crimea from 500 rightful owners—citizens and businesses. The invaders are auctioning off some of the seized assets, while the rest remain in so-called “state ownership.”
