The government has pledged funding for anti-drone protection along the roads in the Kherson region

The government will allocate 789 million hryvnias from the reserve fund for anti-drone protection of roads in the Kherson region and other frontline regions. Funding will be provided for roads that are priorities for defense and logistics. 

This was announced by Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi.

357 million hryvnias are planned to be allocated to the Recovery Agency. Another 432 million hryvnias will go to the regional military administrations of frontline regions. 

Funds for anti-drone protection of roads will be allocated to the Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kherson regions.

Earlier, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against ten Russian military personnel for targeted drone attacks on civilians in the Kherson region. Throughout 2025, the occupiers deliberately dropped explosives and directed FPV drones at pedestrians, civilian vehicles, as well as medical and rescue teams.

Earlier, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, a musician and frontman of the band “Okean Elzy,” called on Ukrainian and foreign journalists to draw attention to the tragic situation in the occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region, where more than 1,500 people are trapped.

Oleshky in the Kherson region, occupied by Russia, is under a humanitarian blockade. The last food deliveries arrived at the end of May. Local residents are starving, and Russian troops are not allowing them to leave the city.
