On August 22, Mykolaiv Oblast declared a Day of Mourning for those who died as a result of the Russian attack on Tokarivka in the Veselynivska community. Among the dead were three children.

According to the Regional Military Administration, a Russian “suicide drone” struck a building housing a store, a “Nova Poshta” branch, and a pharmacy. The strike caused a fire covering an area of about 300 square meters.

Two 11-year-old boys, a 13-year-old boy, and a 30-year-old man were killed. Another person—a 36-year-old woman—was injured.

Emergency services responded to the scene.

In addition to Tokarivka, Russian troops attacked communities in the Mykolaiv region with drones overnight and in the morning.

In the Bashtanka district, “Molniya”-type UAVs struck the Snigurivka and Horokhiv communities twice. A private home was damaged in Snigurivka, and a combine harvester was damaged in Novotymofiivka. There were no casualties.

In the Mykolaiv district, Shahed/“Geran” drones attacked the Ochakiv and Chornomorsk communities. In Ochakiv, an 81-year-old woman was injured. She was hospitalized; her condition is stable and considered moderate. An apartment building was also damaged.

In Chornomorsk, a private home was damaged; there were no casualties.

According to the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, the Snigurivka community was attacked three times by “Molniya”-type UAVs early this morning. A healthcare facility and a pharmacy sustained damage. There were no casualties.

The Odesa region was also subjected to a massive missile and drone strike last night. The train station in Rozdilna was damaged, and port infrastructure in the Izmail district was also targeted.
