The National Police of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion of collaboration to Kherson journalist Tatiana Levandovskaya.
According to the Center for Investigative Journalism, the journalist voluntarily agreed to head the illegal "Department of Mass Media and Public Relations" in the occupation "administration" of Kherson region.
For a long time, Tetiana Levandovska worked as a presenter at the regional TV channel "Scythia" and had her own television projects. Before the full-scale invasion, she also managed the social media of the Kherson water utility. Levandovska, according to the CPJ, is also a close friend of Kherson traitors Volodymyr Saldo and Vitaliy Bulyuk. She was engaged in the PR of these politicians, so it is logical that after the occupation of the regional center, the collaborators appointed her to the position of press secretary of the occupation "administration". After the Russians fled Kherson, Levandovska did not appear in the information space.
In 2024, Tetyana Levandovska was expelled from the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine because of her collaborationist activities. She faces 5 to 10 years in prison with or without additional restrictions and confiscation of property.
Earlier, the autonomy's prosecutor's office announced suspicion of collaboration to the occupation Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea Albert Kurshutov. He faces a sentence of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
Also, two journalists of the Crimean TV channelMillet are suspected of calling for changing the borders of the territory of Ukraine and spreading enemy propaganda. In 2016, one of the suspects hosted a news program on Millet TV channel, in particular, issues dedicated to alleged "sabotage operations of Ukrainian special forces", "issues of oppression of Crimean Muslims by Ukraine", "fight against terrorism", etc. In 2017, another "journalist" hosted a socio-political talk show on the said TV channel with the participation of invited pro-Russian figures and representatives of the occupation authorities. In the propaganda programs, which were later broadcast on the Millet TV channel's page onYoutube and Rutube, the suspects repeatedly made public calls for changing the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine.
