The occupiers stated that the residents of Oleshky will not be evacuated

According to Russian puppet Vladimir Salda, about 1,300 local residents remain in the occupied town of Oleshky in the Kherson region. He stated that there are currently no plans for a mandatory evacuation from the city, even though he himself described the humanitarian situation there as “the most difficult.”

This was reported by the publication “Vgoru,” which cites an excerpt from Salda’s interview with the Russian publication “Vesti.”

Saldo claims that many residents of Oleshky do not want to leave the city. According to him, there is no electricity in the town, and access to fuel is limited.

At the same time, he stated that over the past week and a half, the drone threat and the number of incidents involving roads being mined on the approaches to Oleshky have reportedly decreased. He did not specify who, in his words, is creating these threats and mining the roads.

Saldo also said that because of this, some people have reportedly started riding bicycles to neighboring towns where markets and stores are open. The occupation leader did not specify exactly which towns he was referring to.

When asked about the possibility of a mandatory evacuation, Saldo stated that such a possibility exists, but there are no plans to forcibly remove people. He explained this by saying that some residents had allegedly decided on their own to stay in Oleshky.

Recently, local residents reported that there is almost no food left in the city, and people are surviving by cooking purslane from their own gardens. According to reports, there have already been cases of death by starvation there.
