In Kherson, 17 million hryvnias from the road budget were allocated for salaries

In Kherson, the work plan for the Department of Transportation, Road Infrastructure, and Communications for 2026 has been updated. Nearly 32 million hryvnias have been allocated for road maintenance projects.
The corresponding order was signed by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City State Administration .
Changes were made to the document, which had been approved on January 22. The order explained that the changes were necessary to use budget funds more effectively and to implement the Road Infrastructure Development Program of the Kherson City Territorial Community for 2026–2028.
The updated plan specifically addressed funding for the Kherson City Council’s municipal enterprise “City Road Administration.” The total amount allocated for this area was 31,915,298 hryvnias.
The largest portion of the expenditures was allocated for the salaries of the enterprise’s employees—17,300,931.63 hryvnias.
The plan also allocated funds for materials and services necessary for the road agency’s operations. Specifically, 2.7 million hryvnias were set aside for the purchase of sand for road gritting, and 1.5 million hryvnias for road salt.
An additional 866,928 hryvnias are allocated for cold bituminous-mineral road mix, 668,928 hryvnias for bituminous emulsion, and 599,950 hryvnias for the purchase of crushed stone, gravel, and sand.
Separate expenditures included waste disposal and management—177,940 hryvnias, vehicle repairs—24,840 hryvnias, the purchase of car batteries—29,800 hryvnias, and work gloves—nearly 5,000 hryvnias.
The Kherson City Military Administration also made changes to the program for the protection of the population and territories from emergencies for 2026–2028. The total funding amounts to over 503 million hryvnias.
