The Antimonopoly Committee has revealed violations in the field of outdoor advertising in the Domanivska community of Mykolaiv region.
This was reported by the press service of the Southern Interregional Territorial Department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
The Southern Interregional Territorial Department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is checking compliance with the legislation on protection of economic competition in Mykolaiv region. Particular attention is paid to the procedure for placing outdoor advertising and issuing permits for it.
The inspection revealed that the Domanivka Village Council had included provisions in its advertising procedure that contradicted the standard rules approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In particular, these provisions may:
- delay the process of obtaining permits;
- unreasonably cancel previously issued permits;
- create economic and administrative barriers for entrepreneurs.
Such actions may negatively affect the business environment, competitiveness of business entities and limit competition in the outdoor advertising market.
On December 13, the AMCU's administrative board issued recommendations to the Domanivka village council to stop the anticompetitive actions. The village council has 90 days to consider the recommendations and eliminate the violations.
Earlier, Intent wrote that the Southern Interregional Territorial Department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) announced the start of consideration of the case on possible violation of the legislation on protection of economic competition by Hospodar-2 LLC and VBK Alfa LLC.
The antimonopoly authority ordered the city council to remedy the violation by November 2024. Within the deadline, the Ochakiv City Council amended its decision to make it compliant with the laws of Ukraine. The documents on the implementation of the decision were submitted to the relevant authority.
Recently, the Arbuzyn village council chose a carrier without a competitive procedure. Antimonopoly authorities gave the local government 90 days to remedy the situation.
The AMCU also opened a case against Mykolaivkomuntrans. The utility was suspected of establishing a monopoly and violating competition in the waste industry. For several years, the company has held a dominant position in the market of solid waste collection and disposal services in Mykolaiv region.
Two bidders were caught in fraudulent practices during the procurement of heat meters for Mykolaivoblteploenergo. Violations were recorded during the participation of these entities in tenders held by utilities in different cities.
