Football. First league

• The central match of the first round in the First League took place in Odesa. The second team of the tournament, Odesa-based Chornomorets, hosted the leaders, Bukovyna from Chernivtsi. In the first half, the visitors quickly created a comfortable lead - Bohdan Boychuk scored in the 9th minute, and Yevhen Pidlepenets scored the second goal in the 27th minute.

• After the break, the Sailors actively attacked and reduced the gap in the score - in the 69th minute after a penalty kick Vladyslav Kulach scored. The last minutes were spent in a tense struggle, and finally, with a scuffle between the players and substitutes of both teams (thus, the substitute Yaroslav Rakitsky and the second goalkeeper Jan Vichny received yellow cards for interfering in the conflict on the field). But the score did not change.

• "Thanks to the victory, Bukovyna now has a 7-point lead over Odesa, who still hold second place, 2 points ahead of Ingulets.

However, the final whistle recorded the minimal advantage and the championship of the Kharkiv region team. The decisive goal was a free kick by Kharkiv less than 2 minutes before the end of the game.

• Ukraine's top-ranked player Elina Svitolina from Odesa won the Heart Award for her performance in the final of the Billie Jean King Cup 2025. This is the second such award for Elina this season. Like last time, Elina donated the cash prize to her foundation, which aims to support young Ukrainian tennis players.

• <b>Oleksandr Abramenko,</b> an Olympic freestyle champion, told Glavkom how another freestyle skater, Russian Ilya Burov , tried to deny his statements in support of Putin and the war. In March 2022, Burov's statement in support of Putin and the war against Ukraine appeared on the official resources of the Russian Freestyle Federation. Later, in a conversation with Abramenko, Burov said that he did not make such a statement, although it was posted on his page on one of the social networks.
