Ukrainian Special Operations Forces struck a key logistics facility of Russian troops near the administrative border with occupied Crimea. Damage to the railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal could complicate the delivery of equipment and ammunition to the occupying forces.

This was reported by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to military officials, the strike was carried out using drones.

On the night of June 18, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine damaged a railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal near the village of Rozdolne. The operation was part of a systematic campaign by the Ukrainian military aimed at disrupting the Russian army’s logistics routes.

The Special Operations Forces press service emphasized that Ukrainian drones continue to alter the course of hostilities and strike critical infrastructure used by the occupying forces to support their units.

At this time, details of the operation are not being disclosed. The Special Operations Forces promised to release more information at a later date.

Military officials also noted that they will continue to strike enemy targets to weaken the enemy’s combat capabilities and make it more difficult for them to wage war against Ukraine.

In addition, the Chongar Bridge in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region sustained critical damage following recent strikes and is currently completely impassable to traffic. Following the strikes, the occupiers began deploying pontoon bridges and rerouted part of their logistics through Armiansk.

Furthermore, following intensive operationsby Ukrainian drones, the Russian command of the “Vostok” military group was forced, starting June 7, to ban the transport of military cargo along the Mariupol–Berdyansk – Melitopol – Simferopol highway. This is a key overland route connecting occupied Crimea with the captured territories of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.
