During the artillery shelling of Kozatske in Kherson region, several shells hit a house where two local residents aged 52 and 62 lived. The men were trapped under the rubble of the house. When they started to get out, the Russian military insidiously attacked them again.

According to the Kherson regional police, officers of the Kakhovka district police department took out men from Kozatske and another from Odradokamyanka who were wounded by enemy shelling. Between Russian shelling, the police reached the village and evacuated the wounded to a medical facility in an armored vehicle.

On the same day, another man who was riding a bicycle at the time of the attack was injured in Odradokamianka as a result of a Russian drone attack. The security situation in the village is also extremely difficult, as it suffers from daily Russian shelling. A 72-year-old local resident was injured in the leg as a result of the explosive drop. The police evacuated the victim to a safe place where medical workers were waiting for him.

The police noted that if you decide to leave the settlements that suffer from constant shelling by the armed forces of the aggressor country, please contact the territorial police units, call 102, local authorities or volunteer organizations. You can also get information about evacuation by calling: 0800-33-09-51.

Over 48,000 people have been evacuated from the dangerous areas since the liberation of the right-bank part of Kherson region. Of the 48,000 evacuees, more than 6,600 are children and 470 people with reduced mobility. The evacuation was organized with the support of volunteers, given the difficult security situation. The army of the aggressor country is constantly shelling the Kherson region.

In August, the Kherson region decided to evacuate residents of 50 settlements. Over the past month, twice as many civilians, including children, have been injured in hostile attacks. Recently, the number of civilian casualties due to hostile strikes has doubled, including children. The main focus is on evacuating families with children from settlements located in the area of active hostilities. Philanthropists provide support in finding housing, meeting basic needs, processing documents and social benefits, as well as legal and psychological assistance.
