Trukhanov's new advisor has been working for 10 days

Olena Zakharchenko-Netuzhylova, who was appointed as a new pro bono advisor to Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov in early October, has resigned from her position.

The corresponding order signed by Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov was published by the press service of the city council.

Olena Zakharchenko-Netuzhylova served as the first deputy head of the Odesa District Military Administration in 2023-2025. Prior to that, she was the first deputy head of the Fontanka village council. She is also a co-owner of the Black Sea Riviera Housing and Construction Cooperative.

It should be noted that the new councillor was appointed on October 3, but the order was published on October 14.

Meanwhile, the order to terminate her powers as a counselor was published on October 17, but signed on October 13, and she ceased her work on October 14.

On October 14, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree depriving Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov of Ukrainian citizenship. After the mayor was deprived of his citizenship, he was deprived of his powers ahead of schedule and will be replaced by the secretary of the city council until the next election. Now it is Igor Koval.

However, the powers of the city council are currently limited due to the introduction of a city military administration in Odesa. On October 16, a new head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, was introduced in Odesa, stating that he would primarily focus on the city's security, social support for defenders, medicine, education, and winterization.

At the same time, Trukhanov himself denies having Russian citizenship, calls the deprivation of his Ukrainian passport a political decision, and states that he continues to fulfill his duties and will appeal to international bodies to confirm his status.
