Tomorrow, August 2, Odessa will experience a large-scale power outage in three districts at once. The outage is due to urgent repair work on the power grid.

This was reported by DTEK “Odesa Power Grids.”

Power will be out from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in parts of the city’s Kyivskyi, Primorskyi, and Khadzhibeiskyi districts. The company noted that the outage is necessary to ensure the safe completion of the repair work.

Due to the repairs, disruptions in the operation of critical infrastructure facilities are possible.

DTEK also warned that if an air raid alert is issued, the work may take longer than planned. They promise to provide updates via official chatbots on Viber and Telegram.

Once the repairs are complete, power will be restored gradually, so the process of restoring electricity may take additional time. Utility officials assured that they will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Intent reported that on July 31, parts of Odesa and its suburbs were already without power due to an emergency equipment shutdown. Due to the power outage, water supply was temporarily suspended in the Primorsky and Khadzhibey districts, while water pressure dropped in the Peresypsky and Kyiv districts.

In addition, due to the power outage, service for some low-floor trams and trolleybuses was suspended.
