Three civilians killed in Kherson region due to Russian aggression

On September 3, Antonivka, Sadove, Kizomys, Stanislav, Poniativka, Velytenske, Beryslav, Virivka, Tyahynka, Burgunka, Sablukivka, Tomaryne, Novoberislav, Havrylivka, Karyerne and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes by the Russian occupation army in Kherson region.

This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The official said that during the shelling of the region, the Russian occupiers hit cultural institutions, cell towers and a factory; residential areas of the region's settlements, including 5 high-rise buildings and 11 private houses. The occupiers also damaged warehouses, garages and private cars.

In Kherson, restoration work was carried out on the power grids damaged by enemy shelling. As a result, there were power outages in different parts of the city. Also, due to the emergency shutdown, there was no public transportation in Kherson. It took more than two hours to restore traffic, but the damage to the power grid was much more complicated. The trolleybuses resumed running only at the end of the day.

Prokudin added that three people were killed and five others were injured as a result of Russian aggression. Thus, one man died in Sadove. Around 9:00 a.m., Russian occupation forces fired on the settlement. A 67-year-old man sustained injuries incompatible with life. A 62-year-old woman was hospitalized with explosive trauma and shrapnel wounds. Both victims were in the house at the time of the hostile attack. Also, on September 3, 2024, at about 15:10, the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone in Veletynske, Kherson region. A man born in 1973, who was on the street, sustained injuries incompatible with life.
