Since the beginning of the year, 2.1 billion hryvnias in land tax have been paid in the Odesa region. Only the Dnipropetrovsk region (4.5 billion hryvnias) and the city of Kyiv (3.4 billion hryvnias) have contributed more to local budgets.

This was reported by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

In total, from January through June 2026, local budgets received 24.1 billion hryvnias in land tax revenue. Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by 13.2%. In the first six months of 2025, 21.3 billion hryvnias were paid.

The obligation to pay land tax begins immediately upon the official registration of ownership or use rights to a plot of land and continues until such rights are revoked. That is why it is crucial for taxpayers to ensure the accuracy of information regarding their land plots—specifically regarding their size, designated land use category, and any applicable discounts or exemptions—since all these factors directly determine the final amount due.

Individuals can determine the exact amount of their tax liability and access the necessary payment details through the “Electronic Taxpayer’s Office” or the “My Tax” app.

Earlier, it was reported that revenue from the tourist tax had increased in the Odesa region. From January through June 2026, local budgets in the region received 14.1% more in tourist tax revenue. The difference compared to the figure for the first half of last year amounts to 0.7 million hryvnias.
