From January through June 2026, local budgets in the Odesa region received 14.1% more in tourism tax revenue. The difference compared to the figure for the first half of last year amounts to 0.7 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Tax Service in the Odesa region.

In total, 5.6 million hryvnias in tourist tax revenue has been collected by local budgets since the beginning of the year. Individuals paid 3.7 million hryvnias during this period, while legal entities paid 1.9 million hryvnias.

Previously, the Odesa City Council amended the Regulations on the Tourist Tax, specifically increasing the rate for foreign citizens to 1% (previously 0.5%) of the minimum wage as of January 1 of the reporting (tax) year. For Ukrainian citizens, the rate remained unchanged at 0.5%. Under the new regulation, individuals registered as internally displaced persons who are temporarily staying at places of residence (overnight accommodations) specified in the Regulations are exempt from paying the tax, and the address of such locations is indicated in the certificate of registration as an internally displaced person as the address of their actual place of residence or stay.

Earlier, it was reported that the Odesa region collected the highest amount of parking fees in Ukraine. Specifically, 27.1 million hryvnias were paid for parking in the region.

Revenue from the vehicleparkingfee remains with the local communities, enabling them to fund public improvements and enhance road infrastructure. The parties liable to pay the parking fee are legal entities, their branches (offices, representative offices), and individual entrepreneurs—parking lot operators—rather than drivers.
