The occupiers targeted the energy sector in the Mykolaiv region

On the night of July 2, the energy and critical infrastructure of the Mykolaiv region came under attack by Russian occupiers. A local resident was injured as a result of the attack.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

During the night, “Molniya”-type drones attacked the Snigurivka community. The strike damaged energy and critical infrastructure facilities. According to preliminary data, no one was injured.

In the early morning, another drone of this type struck the Halytsynivska community. In the village of Lupareve, a 66-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. Medical personnel provided her with on-site assistance. The roof of a private home was also damaged.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops also attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities three times with “Molniya” strike drones and used FPV drones on three additional occasions. In addition, they struck the Kutsurub community twice, presumably with multiple-launch rocket systems. There were no casualties in these incidents.

Consequences of the Previous Attack

The Regional Military Administration also highlighted the consequences of the Shahed-type drone strike the region suffered the day before.

In Nova Odesa, a 66-year-old truck driver was killed as a result of an attack on the territory of an agricultural enterprise. Three other men, aged 25, 42, and 50, were injured and hospitalized. As of this morning, their condition is assessed as moderate.

The strike also damaged warehouse buildings and a truck, and caused a fire. In Pervomaisk, a garage was damaged, but there were no casualties.

In addition, Russian troops attacked the city of Mykolaiv with an FPV drone during the day. According to regional authorities, no one was injured in that incident.

The Mykolaiv region comes under Russian attack almost daily. Recently, in the Bashtanka district,a warehouse belonging toan agricultural enterprise was damaged by a drone strike and falling debris, which caused a fire.
